GAMS 01 Gamma Spectrometry Measuring System |
|
|
|
|
The instrument enables gamma radiation measurements at any location. The device is intended for radionuclides activities measuring in packed or unpacked objects and substances. The measured values are used for radionuclides content declaration for further treatment of characterized materials or package sets.
Instrumentation
-
The hardware comprises a cart specially designed to carry all the components: HPGe detector, shield and collimator, 7 l Dewar, digiDART™ high performance multichannel analyzer, and laptop computer.
-
Large wheels permit easy movement over rough surfaces, allowing easy transport of the entire device to any location.
-
The detector support can be positioned at heights from 0,38 m (15 in.) to 1,2 m (48 in.). The pivot mechanism orients the detector to different angles in the range of 0-180°.
-
The system measures all common geometries: pipes, cylinders, floors, ceilings, walls, drums, boxes, and soils.
-
Two flexible systems can be joined and work together as one more efficient system.
-
System is an ideal solution for a wide variety of in-situ gamma-ray measurements.
-
Calibration is a simple procedure, requiring only the use of a single point, mixed isotope source. Automatic energy calibration technique and automatic efficiency calibration make system setup friendly.
-
Any standard HPGe detector may be used with the system and no special factory calibration is required.
Software
RAOS-MMapplication is a simple SW enabling the transfer of IsoTopic measured results into RAOS database. Operator selects the material package in RAOS database, measurement report from local IsoPlus (MS access) database and transfers the measurement report into RAOS database for further use. RAOS application is a standalone SW module intended for data recording from the RAOS-MM application. It provides the data on measured charges and performed checks. In addition, it allows populating of code tables and measuring parameters. RAOS SW administrator can also create and/or modify user profiles within the application etc. SW application RAOS enables exporting of the charge measurement data in XML format for further processing in external applications, displaying of the measured charge balance under defined time period and it also enables to carry out other functions used for data evaluation and presentation.
